Facilitator: Prof Kelvin Mwaba is a Senior Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). He studied at Syracuse University in the USA as a Fulbright Scholar where he obtained his Master and PhD degrees in Psychology. Prof Mwaba has published numerous articles in international journals and presented papers at international conferences. He supervises Masters and PhD students and serves as External Examiner of PhD theses at South African and overseas universities.

Background: The aim of the workshop is to review the role and importance of research designs in quantitative and qualitative research. The workshop will focus on specific research designs in quantitative and qualitative research and provide an opportunity for attendees to develop their research ideas around research design and methods.
